The Bushwhacker's durable 1.375x24 threaded 17-4 stainless steel tube chassis, is supplied with a Griffin Plan-A Taper Mount adapter, Taper Mount muzzle device, and a booster piston housing. These factory inclusions allow the Bushwhacker to quickly and easily be configured for centerfire rifle or handgun use. Its .36 caliber diameter provides end users with the most caliber flexibility possible, while retaining quality sound suppression. The suppressor also can be fitted to a 9mm pistol offering large flexibility. Additionally, .338 caliber, .30 caliber and .22 caliber Ratchet-LOK front caps can be interfaced with the Bushwhacker 36 further improving sound performance with specific calibers.

ECO-FLOW™ baffle technology system provides reduced back pressure, greater structural strength, higher heat resistance for enhanced durability, and longer service life, as well as 5-7db sound pressure level drops vs the original version. This high performance baffle technology allowed engineering to reduce the overall length of the product to a compact 7.75" while simultaneously increasing performance. The Bushwhacker® retains the patented Ratchet-LOK™ end cap system, which allows users to fully take apart, clean, and maintain their suppressor. Carbon and copper deposits parasitically reduce volume inside suppressors over time, which reduces their sound performance. The PLAN-A™ taper mount interface, provides an accurate, minimal length and weight solution to configuring the suppressor in a rifle configuration. This configuration supports Griffin's tried and true taper mount devices, which have been proven to provide the least point of impact shift and greatest accuracy to long range shooters in the firearms community. Griffin Armament Rachet-lok Front Cap, .22 Cal

The patented Ratchet-LOK™ cap system, allows users to shoot high volume rate of fire with products that feature this technology, without the worry of the end cap loosening and components of the product becoming lost or damaged. End users must use a 3 prong car stock wrench to loosen and remove the end cap. These caps come in a variety of apertures in both a dimpled flat cap and patented low profile flash hider design.
Using appropriate end caps for the caliber selected will reduce sound pressure by 2 - 5db but even more on certain calibers. |

Griffin Armament is proud to introduce DUAL-LOK™, our newest QD mounting system for rifle suppressors. The DUAL-LOK™ system is comprised from two components, the DUAL-LOK™ Mount or equipped suppressor and the DUAL-LOK™ muzzle device (of your choice). This page is for the DUAL-LOK™ HUB Mount, a 1.375×24 threaded interface. A quality QD system should be accurate, robust, reliable, require minimal training, and be free of wear prone metal on metal teeth or ratchets, thereby guaranteeing a longer trouble free service life with minimal maintenance needed. Griffin’s DUAL-LOK™ QD mounting system was designed around these objectives. What makes this mounting system unique? It is a combination of desirable mechanical features and performance characteristics in a lightweight, compact system. DUAL-LOK™ combines a precision, sealing, and alignment taper interface with a stub ACME thread, and provides ease of secure attachment. A robust wave spring provides a reliable and positive heat-resistant spring action to the redundant locking collar (second locking feature). The locking collar is semi permanently installed to the mount via factory press slpined, stainless steel, taper pins. Since the mount has no wear prone metal on metal sliding actions like many other mounts, there is no need for the operator to disassemble the system. This locking ring includes three anti-rotation splines which ensure the suppressor will not come off inadvertently. The muzzle device integrates 60 machined mounting position grooves which is doubled by the mount’s two locking positions, hence the double entendre DUAL-LOK™. How is this achieved? The mounts’ two locking positions are machined out of phase of one another by 3 degrees which provides the 120 effective locking positions and ensures a tightly mounted and locked suppressor. When the suppressor is installed only one of the two positions will generally function by allowing the spring to push the locking collar rearward over the splines. Substantial efforts are taken in the manufacturing and inspection of the DUAL-LOK™ products to ensure Griffin customers are outfitted with the best QD mounting systems available.

Griffin Armament ST-3 Thread Sealant

This ST-3® family Thread Sealant is a liquid applicant that once applied and allowed to dry, provides a elastic gasket around the threaded component, allowing threads to stay tight during severe vibration. The product not only provides a 2000 psi sealant gasket, but components can be taken apart and re assembled several times with a single application meaning it does not need to be cleaned off and re-applied after every use. To use simply apply a thin film with a Q tip or similar applicator. Allow to air dry for a minimum of an hour. Thread product together and enjoy. After multiple assembly reassembly of the threaded component you will at some point need to brush the thread clean and reapply the process. This half ounce container contains ~50 applications of product. Examples of application for Griffin products:
Do not use on pistol piston retainers or 3 lug rear caps. We recommend Horse Jipe™ 2300° for those applications. |
