It is vital that your recoil spring be changed at regular intervals. Installing a fresh Sig Sauer Recoil Spring is recommended once yearly or 5000 rounds, whichever comes first. Some armorers recommend 3000 rounds as a maximum. It is better to replace them sooner than later as slide to frame battering can damage your Sig Sauer handgun and cause premature wear and failure.
