1. Properly mount your silencer to the host firearm
2. Insert Suppressor Alignment Check Rod down bore of the silencer and into the host firearm bore until the end of the rod is flush with the end-cap of your silencer
3. Observe alignment and confirm rod is positioned near the center of the silencer bore (refer to images above for examples of proper alignment and misalignment)
4. Host firearm may need to be rotated around bore to confirm alignment due to tolerance between the bore and check rod.

Reflex Suppressors, or Over the Barrel Suppressors have been manufactured for quite some time, but recently haven't been the focus by mainstream manufacturers. Griffin first made over the barrel suppressors over ten years ago with the introduction of the RSTA and SPR models. Meant to diminish blow back, provide superlative accuracy, excellent POI shift characteristics and add minimal system length, these suppressors were highly desirable among suppressor aficionados. Griffin is reintroducing next generation over the barrel suppressors with the DUAL-LOK PSR suppressor series.

The original Revolution® 9 & 45 suppressors were the first pistol silencers developed and brought to market with a modular length feature set, and that Griffin innovation inspired all the other modular length pistol suppressors in the US marketplace. The (MOD 4) Revolution® 9 suppressor represents a total redesign around of package of end user feature interaction enhancements, making the suppressor more secure and easier to mount, as well as fast and easy to configure in length, and easy to disassemble, at vastly increased maintenance intervals. The forward extension allows tool-less reconfiguration, and the O-ring biased extension and front cap prevent inadvertent loosening of the extension or cap. The booster housing (mount accessory interface socket) is permanently installed so tightening and loosening the suppressor does not result in loosening of the booster housing. The housing accepts pistons, fixed barrel mounts and spacers, our Griffin developed industry first integrated 3 lug mount, as well as Plan A mounts.

Another major improvement introduced in the MOD 4 generation is the incorporation of Griffin’s patented CARBON-GARD™ baffle technology. This concept, originally debuted in the Checkmate HD suppressor, has applications for pistol suppressors to make cleaning and maintenance of the suppressor easier even after very high round counts. High temp silicon o-rings are positioned at each baffle interface as well as the end cap, blast chamber, and extension tubes to fully seal gases and carbon within the baffle stack. This gas seal prevents lead and carbon fouling from building up between the tube body and the baffle stack, eliminating instances of the baffle core being carbon locked inside of the tube body, a condition that is very annoying for the end user.

Revolution® MOD 4 Suppressors ship with an included EZ-LOK™ piston providing a more secure, and rapid mounting system than direct thread. EZ-LOK™ barrel end adapters are available for purchase separately.

Constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel, the Taper Mount EZ-Brake™ features 6 radial slots which provides effective recoil mitigation. The Taper Mount EZ-brake™ weighs 2.0 ounces, making it one of the lightest mounts available for the Taper Mount Interface. The lighter weight reduces suppressor system weight while making the host firearm barrel lighter and more responsive to the shooter. The EZ-Brake™ does not require timing and will interface with a 13/16" standard socket wrench for installation.

Piston are H900 heat treated with a rust inhibitor. Please note, color and color pattern will vary due to the heat treatment.

The Optimus® 6 is a 6mm bore additive manufactured (3D Printed) suppressor optimized for reducing system backpressure over “traditional” suppressors by way of its high-flow baffle design, while maintaining impressive flash and sound reduction. The quad-tine flash hider endcap was painstakingly tuned in conjunction with the low backpressure baffle stack to kill flash at a level almost unseen in other low backpressure suppressors available on the market.

The Optimus® 6 is made entirely from ultra-strong 17-4 stainless steel. The tube body of the printed core is machined during post-production to create a smooth, beautiful exterior absent of the normal printing layers visible in most other printed cans. The blast shield and mount system is machined in-house from 17-4 SS, then laser-welded to the baffle core allowing for easy warranty of the suppressor in the case of a baffle strike or other catastrophic failure. Optimus® 6 suppressors, like all other Griffin suppressors, are warrantied for life under Griffin’s Perpetual Lifetime Warranty™.

Recent advancements in 3D metal printing technology has changed this and in response Griffin went full-tilt into designing it’s first line of suppressors manufactured using this technology.
