The semi-automatic Benelli M2 Tactical with ComforTech^® stock is a lightweight, ultra-reliable shotgun that is ideal for home defense, duty-use, or three-gun competition. Equipped with Benelli’s ComforTech stock which utilizes gel comb inserts, 22 recoil-absorbing synthetic chevrons, and a soft, custom fit gel recoil pad combine to reduce recoil by up to 48% as compared to the competition. Utilizing Benelli’s inertia-driven recoil system that operates cleaner than gas driven guns, the inertia-driven system utilizes the recoil from the round fired to operate the firing mechanism. An incredibly simple design-utilizing only three parts, lightweight, low maintenance, and enhanced ergonomics allow for a reliable, perfectly balanced shotgun that is ready to pull duty. Comfort Tech™ was the first of its kind. By splitting the stock diagonally and utilizing shock-absorbing chevrons, the entire stock was essentially turned into a recoil pad. This chevron system, now 13 years old, is still the most efficient design possible, and was the basis for the SBE 3 stock. The chevron size and location has been optimized on Comfort Tech 3. Furthermore, Benelli engineers have developed a new cheek comb pad, Combtech, which greatly reduces facial impact and vibrations. This SBE3 is chambered in 12GA with a 28" barrel and finished with BE.S.T. (Benelli Surface Treatment) is a new proprietary finishing technology developed by engineers and scientists at Benelli’s manufacturing headquarters in Urbino Italy. This coating protects steel with a tough, impenetrable armor that stops rust and corrosion. Capacity is 3+1 shells.

The latest evolution in CZ's semi-automatic shotgun line, the 1012 uses a gas-less inertia operating system. Instead of redirecting gas from the barrel to run the action, the 1012 uses a spring within the bolt to store energy during the shotgun’s recoil, spending this energy a split second later to rotate and unlock the twin lugs from the barrel extension and withdraw the spent shell.
