Key features of the 556XI series include overall weight reduction, streamlined profile, and user friendly features such as ambidextrous controls. The 556XI Standard model features a 3 position gas piston operating system, swiss style folding stock with removable cheek riser, ambidextrous controls, flip up front and rear sights, and reduced profile polymer handguard (compatible with Magpul MOE accessories). Accepts AR15/M16 style magazines.
