I was quite pleased with the fit and finish of the Check-Mate M1A magazines that I purchased. They are American made and of high quality.

Great Local Gun Store with quality firearms. The HK USC is a fun reliable carbine. It is dated by today's standard, the rifle is around 20 or so years old and built for the Clinton era gun laws. The mags only hold 10 rounds and picatinny rails are sold separately and can be expensive. The sights are fair at best. With that being said the gun will eat any type of 45 ACP all day without any failures and the rifle is very accurate.

Magazine quality is as crucial to gun reliability as the feed ramp or trigger.
Life or death for a defense weapon.
Mec-Gar is the world standard for magazines.
Keltec specifies Mec-Gar for all their handguns.
I ordered the 15 round mags for the Keltec P11 designed to accept all Smith 5900 magazines.
The newer compact 17 round uses an angular bend and won't fit, but the 15, 20 and 22 round Mec-Gar with the rounded taper at the top fit perfectly.
Factory Mec-Gar magazines are the California 10 round and the compact 12 round with the spiral spring.
The nickel finish is flawless as normal.
They offer a low friction finish on some also.
Their blued finish is what all blueing aspires to, probably superior to the nickel and mirror smooth.
Steel is hardened like a lock shackle.
When we wanted more inspection holes, we found a cobalt drill won't scratch it, so it's easier to grind a hole, like drilling glass.
That's Mec-Gar.
Everything else is second choice.

Fits great in my p229 Legion SAO. Haven’t had a chance to shoot yet due to Corona, but don’t expect any problems. Other Mec Gar mags that I have function flawlessly.

Top Gun is an awesome local gun store. Always fair prices and a great selection of quality firearms. I have used Federal/Lake City ammo for many years and it has always been fairly accurate and shoots clean. The 400 round is a standard 30 caliber metal ammo box and the rounds are packed in 20 round boxes.
