Dan Wesson Specialist, 45ACP, SS

Dan Wesson Specialist, 45ACP, SS

The Specialist features a new style light rail frame (as seen on the Kodiak) as well as forward cocking serrations and Dan Wesson inset slide serrations that reduce glare between the sights. The stainless steel slide has a 1913-style rail integrated into it for installation of lights and lasers, while the undercut trigger guard and 25 LPI frontstrap checkering help plant the pistol. Controls are prominent, with an ambidextrous thumb safety, extended magazine release and a magwell to facilitate quick reloads. Finished off with a set of G-10 grips that guide the hand up and into the extended beavertail, the Specialist is topped with a set of tritium sights front and rear, the back sight configured in a stacked dot style. Ships with two 8RD magazines.

Dan Wesson Heirloom, 45ACP, SS

Dan Wesson Heirloom, 45ACP, SS

The second installment in Dan Wesson's limited-release Heirloom series, the 2021 edition has ample, yet tasteful engraving on its sides and top. Sights are the increasingly-popular brass bead in front and the tactical U-notch in the rear that allows the pistol to be racked on a belt if need be. With a lightly brushed finish on its stainless steel frame and slide, the round top and GI-style serrations give it a classic look, and bison bone stocks finish it off nicely. Ships with two 8RD magazines.

Dan Wesson 1911's were designed to be the most accurate, highest quality 1911 pistols in the market incorporating high end parts from companies such as Ed Brown, EGW, CMC, Grieder Precision and many others. Dan Wesson continues to move forward in the 1911 pistols with new features as the commander size, the Ed Brown bobtail and the 10mm chambering to name a few. CZ-USA in early 2005 acquired Dan Wesson Firearms and is now managing it as a part of the CZ corporate group. This history will continue to step forward with new and exciting products and innovation from the excellent people of CZ and Dan Wesson Firearms. Dan Wesson 1911's are phenomenal, no nonsense defense pistols comfortable at the range or in your every day carry holster.

Dan Wesson a division of the popular CZ brand of firearms. From the company website you find this.

Each Dan Wesson Firearms 1911 and revolver bears the name of Daniel B. Wesson, who founded Wesson Firearms Co., Inc. in 1968. The great-grandson of D. B. Wesson, co-founder of Smith & Wesson, had a goal to build the finest revolvers that the shooting world had ever seen. He accomplished this by creating guns that were innovative, virtually indestructible and capable of match-grade accuracy right out of the box.

Dan Wesson was a perfectionist, preferring to build a few truly great guns, rather than many merely good ones. In an era of mega-corporations and bottom-line management, he would never allow quality to be sacrificed for the sake of quantity. And it didn’t stop there. His philosophy was “You can never be fully satisfied. You can always make something better.” This kept him on a course of constant improvement, while providing his customers with the very best revolvers that money could buy.

In 2005 CZ purchased the Dan Wesson brand and has used its design and engineering expertise to improve both the Dan Wesson lines, and its own firearms. Sharing elements of design that their customers loved, and features that improved performance and dependability.
