Shadow Systems realized it was time for an improvement over the stock Glock extractor, without the relatively high price of a billet. MIM technology has improved dramatically in recent years, in particular, the possibility of using new materials. Since so many customers loved their machined billet 17-4 stainless steel extractor, they decided their MIM extractor should use this same material.
