Glock Slide Locks

We stock the factory Glock Slide Locks for all models, as well as the coordinating springs. If you own a G36, you’ll want to note this model has its own individual slide lock. Proper installation of the slide lock is critical to preventing pistol malfunctions. Glock slide locks are part of the frame components and will require knowledge of frame disassembly. Once the slide lock spring is depressed during disassembly, the slide lock can be removed from the frame. If you’re replacing both the spring and the Glock slide lock, make sure you have the correct spring. Using the wrong one could cause your Glock to not work properly. In some cases, you will need to refer to your owner’s manual or seek the assistance of an armorer. For the right parts, turn to Top Gun Supply. We want to be your source for factory parts and durable components, like Glock barrels.

Keep Glock Slide Lock Springs on Hand to Stay on Target

Glock Slide Lock Springs and other internal parts are made in the Glock tradition of resiliency. Many people are aware of this manufacturer’s use of ultra strong polymer in the construction of the Glock’s frame. The barrel and slide are finished with the corrosion-resistant hardness of Tenifer. And the internal components have also been built to stand strong. However, springs may wear over time, but with routine changes, failures can be avoided. If you have an older Glock slide lock spring and it breaks, the slide can slip off the gun and may even be damaged. You may want to check with the manufacturer on how many rounds can be fired before the springs are affected. Discover an exciting selection of Glock accessories throughout our site, including the in-demand Meprolight night sights.
